Delhi Police Cut Off for Constable (Executive): Past Marks and Trends

SSC and centralNormalised marksGender wise listsUpdated 26 Oct 2026

The delhi police cut off marks the lowest normalised CBT score, out of 100, at which SSC shortlists or finally selects Constable (Executive) candidates in each category, with separate lists for men, women and ex-servicemen. In the 2025 exam, men in the open UR category needed about 70 marks to reach the physical test, and women about 63.5.

Below you will find the published CBT and final cut offs of the last two exams, the minimum qualifying marks, and the forces that raise or lower the line each cycle. Topics and marks of the CBT are broken down in the Delhi Police Constable syllabus.

How the delhi police cut off is set

There is only one scored paper, the 100 mark computer based test, so every cut off is a CBT score. SSC first converts raw marks into normalised marks, because the test runs over many shifts and some shifts are harder than others. It then ranks candidates category by category and draws a line wherever the number needed for the next stage is filled.

Two different lines matter to you:

  • CBT cut off: decides who is called for the PE&MT, the physical round. SSC calls many more people than there are posts, because a large share fail the race or the measurements.
  • Final cut off: the closing score of the final candidate picked in each category once the race, measurements, medical and paperwork are over.

Men and women compete in separate lists, and ex-servicemen have their own lists split into commando and other ex-servicemen.

Delhi police constable previous year cut off: the trend

Comparing the two cycles shows a clear pattern:

  • The open male UR line moved from about 68 (final, 2023 exam) to about 70 at the shortlist stage of the 2025 exam, so a score in the low 70s has become the realistic aim for men.
  • Women's cut offs sit roughly 5 to 9 marks below men's in the same category.
  • OBC cut offs have been almost level with UR, and in the 2025 exam they were identical for men.
  • Ex-servicemen lists often close at or near the qualifying minimum.

A final cut off can also be lower than the CBT shortlist line for some categories, since many shortlisted people drop out at the race or the medical.

Qualifying marks versus the selection line

To be counted at all, you must reach the minimum qualifying marks in the CBT: 35 for UR, 30 for OBC, SC, ST and EWS, and 25 for ex-servicemen. These are floors, not targets. With lakhs of applicants and a few thousand posts, the real competition is decided far above them, as the tables show.

Pooja, an OBC candidate, scored 58 in her mocks and felt safe because the OBC minimum is 30. A look at the female OBC line of the 2025 exam (about 63) showed her she needed roughly five more marks. She focused on current affairs, which is half the paper, and pushed her mock average to 64 over the next month.

Factors that could shift the next line

  • Number of posts: the 2025 notice listed about 7,565 provisional vacancies. More posts usually means a lower line.
  • Paper difficulty and normalisation: a tougher GK section lowers raw marks, but normalisation evens out shift differences.
  • Number of candidates: applications for this exam run into lakhs, so even a small rise in serious candidates lifts the line.
  • Category and gender quotas: each list closes independently.

Nobody can publish an official expected cut off in advance; treat any such figure as a guess. Plan with the past lines and a few marks of margin.

Frequently asked questions

What was the Delhi Police Constable cut off for general male candidates?

In the 2025 exam, the CBT cut off for the PE&MT was 70.05181 for UR men in the open list. In the 2023 exam, the final UR male cut off was 68.04388.

Is the female cut off lower than the male cut off?

Yes, in recent cycles it has been several marks lower. For the 2025 exam the UR female shortlist line was 63.52622, against 70.05181 for UR men.

Are the cut off marks normalised?

Yes. Since the CBT runs in many shifts, SSC normalises scores and all published cut offs are on that normalised scale, which is why they carry several decimal places.

What is the minimum score to qualify the CBT?

35 marks for UR, 30 for OBC, SC, ST and EWS, and 25 for ex-servicemen. Reaching it keeps you in the race, but selection needs a score well above it.

Where can I find the delhi police constable previous year cut off officially?

In the result write up for each exam cycle on the SSC website. The write up lists the cut off and the number of candidates shortlisted for every category and list.

Does the physical test affect the cut off?

Indirectly. The PE&MT has no marks, but candidates who fail it drop out, so the final cut off of a category can end up lower than its CBT shortlist line.
