The mahila supervisor syllabus for the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board exam is split into two parts: Part I tests Hindi, English, maths and reasoning, general knowledge and managerial ability for 115 marks, and Part II tests nutrition, health and early childhood care for 85 marks. Together they form one objective paper worth 200 marks, sat in 3 hours, where wrong answers carry a penalty of one third.
The post is Paryavekshak (Mahila) in the Women and Child Development Department, where a supervisor guides a cluster of anganwadi centres under the ICDS scheme. That is why almost half the paper is about mothers, infants and pre school children. Whether you searched for the mahila supervisor ka syllabus or the official Women Supervisor scheme, this page gives the marks for each part, the topic list, eligibility and a study plan.

Who sits this exam and how selection works
RSSB advertises Mahila Supervisor vacancies for the Women and Child Development Department, separately for non scheduled and scheduled (TSP) areas. Only women may apply. The route is short:
- Written exam: a single objective paper.
- Document verification: about twice the number of vacancies are usually called, in merit order.
- Final merit: prepared on written marks, with no interview.
Since there is no second stage to make up ground, every mark in the one paper counts, and the negative marking means careless attempts cost more than blanks.

A ten week plan weighted by marks
Part II is worth 85 marks, and the programmes unit by itself gives 15, so it outweighs the whole General English section. Many candidates from arts or commerce backgrounds find this half unfamiliar, so start it first.
- Weeks 1 to 3: nutrition, life stages and malnutrition, with a chart of nutrients, sources and deficiency signs.
- Weeks 4 and 5: immunisation schedule, pregnancy care, childhood illnesses and ICDS services.
- Weeks 6 and 7: child development and pre school education, plus Rajasthan GK every evening.
- Weeks 8 to 10: Hindi grammar, reasoning, managerial ability, and a complete three hour practice paper on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Pooja, a BA graduate from Bhilwara, had cleared CET but knew little about vaccines. She wrote the immunisation schedule on a sheet above her desk, reading it aloud each morning for three weeks. In her mocks, the immunisation and illness sections went from her weakest to her most reliable marks.

Books, other states and official files
For Part II, the Class 11 and 12 NCERT Home Science books on human development and nutrition are a good base, along with the ICDS and anganwadi training material the department publishes. A standard Rajasthan GK book and a school level Hindi grammar text handle most of Part I.
Other states recruit similar posts through their own boards with different patterns, so match the syllabus to the state you apply in. Our ICDS supervisor syllabus page covers that wider picture, and every Rajasthan board exam is listed on the state exams page. The scheme itself sits on the RSSB website under the recruitment advertisement.
Frequently asked questions
How many marks does the Mahila Supervisor paper carry?
It is a 200 mark objective paper of 3 hours. Part I carries 115 marks and Part II, on nutrition, health and child care, carries 85.
Are marks taken away for mistakes in this paper?
Yes, and the penalty is heavy. Pick the wrong option and one third of the question's worth vanishes from your score. If you cannot strike out two choices, a blank is the safer move.
Can men apply for Mahila Supervisor?
No. The post of Paryavekshak (Mahila) is reserved for women candidates only.
Is a CET score compulsory for this post?
Yes. Recent advertisements asked for a valid graduate level CET result from RSSB, along with a degree and a computer qualification.
Is there an interview after the written exam?
No. Merit is prepared from the written marks, and shortlisted women are called for document verification.
Which part should I prepare first?
Begin with Part II if you have no background in home science or nutrition, since it carries 85 marks and its topics are new to most graduates. Part I overlaps with other Rajasthan exams you may already have studied for.
