How hospital assistants are selected

The process is short. You sit one computer based test and, if your score is high enough in the merit list for your category, the board invites you to show your documents. Reports mention no interview or skill round for this post.

At document verification you bring originals of your mark sheets, caste or domicile certificates and employment exchange registration, plus photocopies. Missing papers can cost you the post even after a good score, so gather them while you study.

The reports we found did not say how the 100 questions are shared among the five subjects. Expect roughly even coverage, but do not bank on an exact split.

General Hindi

• Reflection and refraction, defects of vision, Ohm's law and circuits, magnetism from current
• Our environment, ecosystems and saving resources

Social Science

• History: nationalism in India and Europe, trade and the world economy, the age of print
• Geography: resources, agriculture, water, minerals, manufacturing, transport
• Civics: power sharing, federalism, political parties, outcomes of democracy
• Economics: development, sectors, money and credit, globalisation

Chapters that pay off for a hospital job

Science carries extra value here. Questions on life processes, human body systems, nutrition and common diseases connect directly with hospital work and also tend to be short and direct. In maths, the class 10 arithmetic style chapters (percentages hidden inside word problems, averages, areas) are faster than proofs in geometry. Hindi grammar is scoring for students from Hindi medium schools, while English rewards a few weeks of tense and voice practice.

Ten week preparation plan

1. Weeks 1 to 3: Read class 10 science and social science chapter by chapter, making a one page note per chapter.
2. Weeks 4 to 6: Maths chapters with 25 practice questions each; Hindi vyakaran tables for sandhi and samas.
3. Weeks 7 to 8: English grammar drills and reading passages; revise science notes.
4. Weeks 9 to 10: Two full timed papers a week. Track how many marks the 0.25 deduction takes from you.

Books in general terms: NCERT or MP Board class 10 textbooks are enough for the subject base, with one Hindi grammar guide and a book of objective questions for practice.
