The Rajasthan police syllabus for constable posts is built around one written paper of 150 objective questions in three parts: reasoning with basic computer knowledge, general knowledge with science, social science and current affairs, and a full part on Rajasthan itself. The paper runs for two hours, and each incorrect choice costs you 0.25 marks.
Clearing the paper is only the first step, because a 5 km run and body measurements come next. This page covers the latest recruitment's paper, the Rajasthan police syllabus topic wise for each part, the physical standards and a plan that matches the weight of each section. If you are aiming higher, the Rajasthan SI syllabus has a separate paper.

Rajasthan police syllabus starts with the selection stages
In the latest constable recruitment, applicants first needed a valid score in the Rajasthan Common Eligibility Test (senior secondary level) and a class 12 pass. From that pool, the stages ran in this order:
- Written examination of 150 marks, offline on OMR sheets.
- Physical efficiency test (PET), a 5 km run against the clock, along with the physical standards test (PST) for height, chest and weight.
- Proficiency test for driver and band posts only.
- Document verification and medical examination before the final list.
Extra marks for special qualifications such as NCC certificates have also been part of the merit in recent notices. How these and the physical test feed into the final list has changed over the years, so read the scheme in the advertisement you apply under.
Rajasthan police exam pattern: the 150 mark paper
| Part | What it covers | Questions | Marks |
|---|---|---|---|
| A | Reasoning, logic, basic maths and computer knowledge | 60 | 60 |
| B | General knowledge, general science, social science, current affairs, laws and schemes for women and children | 45 | 45 |
| C | Rajasthan history, art and culture, geography, economy and polity | 45 | 45 |
| Total | 150 | 150 | |
- Time: 2 hours.
- Marking: 1 mark for each right answer, minus 0.25 for each wrong one.
- Minimum marks: 40% in the general, OBC, EBC and EWS groups and 36% in the SC and ST groups in the latest notice, with exemptions for some TSP area candidates.
Since reasoning and computer alone carry 60 marks, that part usually decides who makes the cut.
